Therapy can bring up questions – here are a few answers to help you feel more at ease and get a sense of how I work.

I offer sessions online and in central Brighton & Hove. Venues vary slightly, and I’ll confirm the address upon booking. Good local bus link and paid off-street parking are available.

Sessions are £65 for 50 minutes and are payable at the time of booking to confirm your appointment.

You can find more information about fees, cancellations, confidentiality, and other logistics in my Terms of Service.

I don’t offer free introductory calls, as I find they don’t give us enough time to really connect. A full session allows meaningful space to explore your experiences more deeply and helps us both get a clearer sense of whether this feels like the right support for you.

You are welcome to contact me by email to book a session and/or if you have any questions. The first session is an opportunity for both of us to explore whether I’m the right therapist for you. I’ll use this time to assess if I am qualified to support you, and you can decide if you feel comfortable working with me. If I believe a different type of support would better serve you, I’ll discuss this with you openly and, if helpful, suggest alternative options.

I work with adults who’ve experienced relational trauma—a form of complex trauma that often arises from painful early or adult relationships. It can affect how we feel about ourselves, manage emotions, and connect with others.

I’m not able to offer support for ongoing high-risk behaviours, active substance use issues (such as drug or alcohol dependency), or complex trauma symptoms that require specialist or multidisciplinary care.

If you’re unsure whether I’m the right fit, I’d be glad to help you explore what support might be best for you.
Although I don’t offer specialised trauma-processing methods like EMDR, I practice Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), which gently supports deeper emotional exploration. Once a foundation of safety and emotional stability is in place, some clients naturally move into processing key emotional injuries—often tied to unmet attachment needs or past relational wounds. This is always a collaborative process, guided by your readiness and emotional pace.

I offer a gentle, collaborative space where emotional safety and trust come first. We go at your pace, focusing on what feels manageable and supportive.

My approach centres on building stability and inner resources—often the first step toward deeper healing. We might explore patterns, emotional cycles, triggers, and protective parts with curiosity and care – helping you understand your inner world and build more secure internal connections.

I won’t rush into painful memories. Instead, we take time to create the safety needed for meaningful, lasting change.

Yes. While I have a special interest in relational trauma, I also support clients navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and the emotional impact of chronic illness, including cancer. I work integratively, which means I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on your unique needs, always in a warm, grounded, and collaborative way.

Feel free to share a little about what’s bringing you to therapy — if that feels right at this stage — and let me know your availability (e.g. daytime or evenings, and whether you prefer in-person or online).
