"Our wounds are often the openings into
the best and most beautiful part of us"

~ David Richo

I  offer integrative therapy for relational trauma to adults (18+) in Brighton (East Sussex) and online.

Depending on your needs, services include short-term, Long-term, or Single Session Therapy (SST).

I take an integrative approach to both short- and long-term therapy, incorporating trauma-informed modalities and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT). Rooted in attachment science, EFIT is a humanistic experiential model that supports emotional processing and fosters secure, meaningful relationships with oneself and others.

Relational trauma often requires an integrated approach to address the multiple layers of its effects. This blended approach offers you a more personalized experience to counselling and therapy.

Counselling & Therapy

I use the terms Counselling and therapy interchangeably. Usually Counselling refers to a short-term service, which can be between 6 to 18 weeks. The focus is on offering you emotional and psychological support through a difficult time. Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) is an effective, evidence-based approach that can achieve meaningful change in short-term therapy by addressing core emotional and relational patterns.

Therapy is a medium to long-term process (usually 12 sessions +) focused on longstanding difficulties, thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that significantly impact your quality of life and relationships.  Outcomes in therapy often are more ‘profound’ as they represent significant shifts in your inner experience, perspective, beliefs, feelings, sense of self and relationship with others.

SST promoted by Dr Windy Dryden offers a one- time, focused session to address a particular issue, while remaining open to further support if needed.

While relational trauma therapy often benefits from long-term commitment, I believe you should have the freedom to decide how often you engage in therapy. That’s why I offer single sessions whenever you feel the need.

Arrange an appointment

Get in touch by using the contact form below. Together, we can agree on the best day and time for your first session. I will then send you a confirmation email with session details, along with any relevant information.

Attend your first session

This is an introductory session where I will ask you what brings you to counselling and a bit about your background. It’s also a chance for you to ask any questions, get a sense of how I work, and determine if I am the right therapist for you.

Choose the best option for you

If we decide to continue to work together, we can agree on an amount of ongoing sessions or you can opt for Single Session Therapy. Should we find that I am not the right therapist for you, I can signpost as appropriate.
