Reaching out for support
is a brave step.

When we work together you can expect a safe and confidential space where the emotional impact of your experiences – whether recent or rooted in the past – can be identified, understood, and gradually worked through.

I am an Emotionally Focused and Integrative Therapist, member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and of the ICEEFT (International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy).

This means that I am committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical and professional practice.

While my work is rooted in a deep understanding of relational trauma, I also support adults navigating a wide range of emotional struggles – including anxiety, depression, low self-worth, grief, and life transitions – many of which often stem from or are shaped by relational experiences.

Experience

With over 17 years of experience as an NHS nurse in both hospital and community settings, I bring a deep understanding of physical and emotional healing to my therapy practice. I have counselling experience within NHS Psychological Therapies, supporting individuals and families navigating cancer, grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions.

My background includes extensive work with people facing chronic illness, disability, addiction, and other life-altering challenges. This rich clinical experience informs my compassionate, trauma-aware approach. My nursing foundation also gives me a unique insight into the mind–body connection and the role of the nervous system in healing.

I welcome and respect individuals of all genders, sexual orientations, ethnicities, religions, and backgrounds.

Emotionally Focused Integrative Therapist
  • Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT): An experiential evidence-based approach developed by Dr Sue Johnson that encourages self-discovery and deep emotional healing. Rooted in attachment science, EFIT helps clients understand their relational patterns and cultivate secure connections with themselves and others.
  • Using gentle somatic techniques, along with principles from other trauma-informed modalities, I invite a curious and compassionate exploration of your inner experience. This approach supports a deeper understanding of your emotional responses and the different aspects of yourself that may carry unique needs, beliefs, or stories. It also fosters emotional resilience and helps you stay grounded in the present moment.
  • Transpersonal Exploration: When it naturally emerges, I welcome and nurture the exploration of spiritual and transcendent experiences, recognizing the significance of these deeper aspects in personal growth.

My therapeutic approach is warm, relational, inclusive, and collaborative. I am here to truly support you, holding space for whatever you bring into our sessions. I strive to see the world through your eyes and understand your unique experience. My non-judgmental and open-minded stance aims to help you feel at ease as you embark on your self-discovery journey.

While many see therapy as a place where the therapist “just listens,” my role goes beyond that. I will listen deeply, but I will also engage actively to help you uncover your sense of self and direction. Together, we can untangle confusion, ease anxiety, and illuminate the darker parts of your inner world.
