Reaching out for support is a brave step and a sign of strength.
When we work together you can expect a safe and confidential space where the effects of relational trauma you have experienced can be identified, understood, and gradually worked through.
I am an Integrative Counselling Therapist, member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and of the ICEEFT (International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy)
This means that I abide by the highest standards of ethical conduct.
I specialize in working with adults who have experienced relational trauma – in childhood or adulthood – helping them address and recover from the effects of abuse, neglect, emotional disconnection and dysfunctional relational dynamics.
Experience
Alongside my counselling practice, I have worked for over 17 years as an NHS nurse in both hospital and community settings, supporting people on their physical and emotional healing journey. I have counselling experience within the NHS Psychological Therapies, where I supported individuals diagnosed with cancer and their families through grief, loss, life transitions, existential issues, anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, historical trauma, and more.
I have extensive experience working with diverse individuals facing chronic diseases, addictions, disabilities, and other life changing events. This rich background informs my compassionate approach to therapy. In addition, my background in nursing gives me a unique understanding of our nervous system and the connection between body-mind and trauma.
I respect all genders, sexual orientations, ethnicities, religions, and any other individual differences.

- Trauma-Informed Practices: Through gentle somatic techniques and mindful cognitive processing, I support clients in safely exploring the body-mind connection, allowing them to transform and integrate the effects of past traumas while staying grounded in the present.
- Transpersonal Exploration: When it naturally emerges, I welcome and nurture the exploration of spiritual and transcendent experiences, recognizing the significance of these deeper aspects in personal growth.
My therapeutic approach is warm, relational, inclusive, and collaborative. I am here to truly support you, holding space for whatever you bring into our sessions. I strive to see the world through your eyes and understand your unique experience. My non-judgmental and open-minded stance aims to help you feel at ease as you embark on your self-discovery journey.
While many see therapy as a place where the therapist “just listens,” my role goes beyond that. I will listen deeply, but I will also engage actively to help you uncover your sense of self and direction. Together, we can untangle confusion, ease anxiety, and illuminate the darker parts of your inner world.
